Welcome to Pediatric Feeding News!

I want to welcome you to pediatric feeding news! You have most likely found yourself here because you work in the area of pediatric feeding or you are interested in feeding issues and want more information on how to intervene. Some of you have received my newsletter in the past and I want to welcome you back! I have really missed putting the newsletter together and I am excited to start the process of reporting on feeding information, research, and case studies again. My goal is to provide a hub for information that encompasses different philosophical approaches to treatment as well as various professional perspectives and formats.

I have often felt that is is a full-time job keeping up with research, new techniques, and interventions in the field of pediatric feeding. I also feel that for the many professionals involved in feeding, there is no easy way access information from each other. Mainly in the fields of medicine, nutrition, speech pathology, occupational and physical therapy, as well as psychology. I hope to make that easier here in this blog.

For those of you that know me or have taken my feeding workshop (Using a Medical, Motor, & Behavior Approach), you know that I use this approach in my daily practice in conjunction with the feeding team I work on. I will post on my experiences working on a hospital based feeding team. I am also excited to pass on the information that I come in contact with working in a large teaching and research hospital. If there are topics you would like more information on- I encourage you to email me with ideas and suggestions.
